"We had a wonderful 3 night stay with Captain Dave and Bobbie Rae. We decided to do the captain only option because of our time and financial restrictions. This was a great option for us…” Because of their time limitation, we decided to first sail along the south coast of St. John, exploring the bays and anchorages along the way. One of the highlights of our trip was hiking to the petroglyphs at Reef Bay, where Admiral Bobbie Rae communed with the ancient rock faces. We also explored the sugar mill ruins and watched the hermit crabs crawling around like a living carpet of shells. We also made it to Jost Van Dyke where I could particularly relate to “You Don’t Judge a Man by the Size of His Dinghy!!” We ended up back at Secret Harbor in time to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets. A short but sweet trip, we hope to see Megan and Eric back in the islands soon.
